Hi, my name is Aliya Brown, also known as Ly. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, and I moved to Chicago at 18 to study film. Before I picked up a camera in 2023, I created fashion edits of myself based on cartoons and games I grew up with. That creative spark led me to pursue professional photography. Now, I blend my love for film and photography into my creations.

I'm passionate about what I do because it allows me to bring imagination into reality. I aim to create whatever I can think of, leading to an endless learning and creativity path. My creativity is deeply rooted in nostalgia and music. Without them, I don't know where I'd be. Looking back on my childhood or hearing a good song always sparks a new idea and reignites that urge to create.

I've been a storyteller ever since I got my hands on dolls as a kid. Back then, I made stop-motion stories and did mini-photoshoots, not knowing it was the start of something bigger. I never imagined those early creative moments would shape the career I'm pursuing today.

My favorite part about doing what I do is the connections I make. I love meeting new people and creating deeper connections with other creatives. It's a gift to capture the essence of someone or inspire them to create something new. It's essential to surround yourself with others who share your passions. Working, collaborating, and supporting others in this space is truly special.
