What's good! I'm Marquis Harper, born and raised in East Providence, Rhode Island, now based just outside of Baltimore. Sports have always been a massive part of my life. I played football, basketball, and baseball through high school and went on to play D1 college football at @sacredheartuniversity. During my grad year, an injury forced me to take a step back from the game, and that’s when I found a new outlet in creativity. After completing a few internships, I began my career in the industry with the @patriots, where I had the opportunity to work with one of the top teams in the league and be part of a Super Bowl run in 2018. Two seasons later, I made the move to @underarmour, where I’ve been blessed to create alongside some of the best athletes in the world, like @stephencurry30 and @jjettas2. What started as a setback became the turning point for everything that followed. My camera has opened doors I never imagined and taken me places I'd never thought I could go. When I’m not working, I'm probably out running around with my wife and our three amazing kids, just embracing the chaos.

I'm passionate about what I do because it gave me a second chance to stay connected to the world of sports, just from a different angle. Creating content became a new way to tell the stories I used to live out on the field. It’s great to be able to capture meaningful moments, work with top athletes, and be part of something bigger. Working at a global brand, you never know where your work will end up.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. I’ve always been observant. I like to pay attention to little details, such as the way people move and moments that most might overlook. I think everyone has a story, and the way it’s told really comes down to perspective. I’m interested in finding that angle that shows more than just what’s happening on the surface. It’s about capturing the moment within the moment. I feel like that's how you build that emotional connection with the viewer. That’s what makes storytelling exciting for me. It’s not just about what’s happening; it’s how you make people see it.

My favorite part about what I do is being able to connect with people along the way. It's dope to be able to create alongside people who share the same goals and passion as you do. I've made so many friends and had opportunities open up for me just by connecting on the sidelines or at an event. Also, I love being able to look out for those who are on the rise and help them navigate, as well as serve as a mentor. Opportunity is everything, and being able to open a door and help propel someone else is one of the best feelings in the world.
