Hello, I'm Zyaire Porter. It all started with a baby & a blog lol.. I'm from Inglewood, CA, and I picked up a camera at 18 years old, shortly after my 1st child was born. That was almost 17 years ago, and my career has taken me many places. My love for music has led me to many media opportunities at concerts and festivals. My passion for sports has allowed me to capture the Drew League & many of your favorite athletes. And my love for people has allowed me to capture over 100 weddings. I have built my career through the brand of Porterhouse LA, providing brands & individuals with timeless memories & usable images.

I'm passionate about what I do because photography can (and has) change the world. Not only does it freeze time, but it also tells stories, shows truth, and creates conversation. It reverences the past, captures the present, and provides for the future (if done correctly).

I have been a storyteller most of my life. I used to be a dancer when I was young. I tried acting in high school, but it wasn't until after that, that I discovered the camera to be a "writing instrument". Every form of art is telling a story; I use a camera to write.

My favorite part about doing photography is bringing a concept to life. From seeing the image in your head to learning lighting to execute the idea, scouting locations, posing, using the correct lens, editing, and trial and error,... I love the whole process of "figuring it out".
