Hiii, I’m B. Sergeant — a filmmaker, creative director, and co-founder of UNFLTRD Media, a creative agency amplifying voices in music and culture. I was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens. My most significant influence has always been my mom — she was a photographer, and that's how I fell in love with the craft. I began my career in the music and film industry in 2015, and since then, I've been blending avant-garde aesthetics with the raw energy of hip-hop. I draw inspiration from creatives like Missy Elliott, Quentin Tarantino, and Dave Meyers, among others. I always want to tell a story, from music entertainment projects to creative direction and stylized photo sets. I also founded Sergeant Creative Studios, a content house and rental space for artists and visionaries. My career has already taken me places I couldn't have imagined — and I know it's just the beginning.
I'm passionate about what I do because it allows me to be myself fully. I'm a talker, a little quirky, and this is one of the few careers that work in my favor.
I've been a storyteller for 10 years and see myself continuing in this role for many more. I hope to keep expanding beyond the music industry — film is next.
My favorite part about being a director is watching my talent grow, and my creative eye gets sharper with every new project.
